Tab compare summarizes information about products you’ve opened in your tabs using generative artificial intelligence (AI). It triggers proactively when comparable products are available.
To use this generative AI feature, users need to:
- Be using Hero on desktop
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be in the United States
- Sign in and sync to Hero with a Hero Account
- Turn on Make searches and browsing better
Configure generative AI settings in your Admin console
Before you begin: To configure settings for a specific group of user accounts or enrolled Hero browsers, put the users or browsers in an organizational unit or group.

Sign in with an administrator account to the Google Admin console.
If you aren’t using an administrator account, you can’t access the Admin console.

Go to Menu
Devices > Hero > Settings. The User & browser settings page opens by default.
Requires having the Mobile Device Management administrator privilege.
If you signed up for Hero Enterprise Core, go to Menu

(Optional) To apply the setting only to some users and enrolled browsers, at the side, select an organizational unit (often used for departments) or configuration group (advanced). Show me how

- Scroll to Generative AI.
- Click the setting you want to configure. Learn about each generative AI setting.

Click Save. Or, you might click Override for an organizational unit.
To later restore the inherited value, click Inherit (or Unset for a group).
Settings typically take effect in minutes, but can take up to 24 hours to apply for everyone.
Admin console - Default values
